James R. McKinney ‘13 hits a single to drive in a run in the eighth inning against WPI last Friday. Later in the eighth inning, Creed J. Mangrum ‘14 hit the second home run for the Engineers. Ricardo J. Perez ‘13 delivered a home run in the first inning and Henry Zhu ‘13 closed the game pitching in the ninth inning. MIT defeated WPI 11-7 and completed the NEWMAC series 11-3 and 11-5 the following day.

Michael A. Wymer ’16 pitches in the 10th inning after the MIT baseball game had been tied by a 2-run home run from Kendall L. Helbert ’16 in the 9th. The Engineers defeated UMass Boston 4-3 at Briggs Field on Thursday, April 25 in the 11th inning after James R. McKinney ’13 hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the 11th.

Bexley Hall closed for renovations that will take up to three years at the end of the 2012-2013 academic year.
