Carl F. Lian ’15 competes in the first round of the Integration Bee tournament, held in 10-250 yesterday evening. In order to advance, two opponents race to solve two integrals displayed on a projector above. The winner, Justin T. Brereton ’13, was crowned the “Grand Integrator.”



Mason G. Glidden ‘14 works on a cube containing 4,096 individually addressable LEDs during the three-day Bad Ideas Weekend. The device will be able to take captured images from an Xbox Kinect and display them on the cube.



Karl M. Soresen ’15 bats in the ninth inning against Babson College on Friday March 23. MIT lost 0-12, but came back to win against Babson 6-5 the following day. Currently, the baseball team has an overall record of 9-9.



This was taken at Legal Seafood at sunset. I nearly missed the reflection the first time around. The lack of warm colors in the sky provides a nice contrast to the incandescent lighting of the fish. At first, I thought the wind would ruin the long exposure picture, but instead the shaking of the trees just made the photo more surreal.



Andrew Z. Sommer ’13 and Stephanie Tong ’12 of the MIT sailing team face off against Roger Williams University in the first round of Saturday’s team racing double round-robin tournament. MIT placed 4th overall in the 30th Lynne Marchiando Trophy.






“Adam Erza Group” invited 4th East onto the stage to perform with them at Fred Fest on Friday. Fred Fest is an annual outdoor concert hosted by EC.

Forward Chester Chambers ’15 plays offense in the men’s soccer game against Springfield on Saturday morning. The Engineers lost 1-0 to Springfield, which scored their lone point during the second half.



The 2.009 staff fires “Angry Birds” plushies into the audience at the end of the 2.009 presentations in Kresge on Monday evening. The theme of this year’s projects was “On the Go.”
