A piano stuffed with candy sits on the roof of Baker House in preparation for the annual Baker House Piano Drop that occurred this past Friday, Oct. 25. Parents and students crowded the courtyard to watch the piano drop six stories and shatter on top of another piano.




Crowds began to gather at the Kenmore Square T Stop in anticipation of the Red Sox victory Wednesday night.

A silver Toyota Corolla was hit in the rear on Mass Ave. and Memorial Dr. outside of Maseeh last Friday at around 10:25 P.M. Several units from both CPD and MIT responded, as well as the Cambridge Fire Department. The operator of the other vehicle was arrested for OUI 2nd offense, negligent operation, unregistered motor vehicle, marked lanes violation, illegal U-turn, and an open container of alcohol. No injuries were reported.




Emily M. Salvador ’16 sings a solo in “The Engineers’ Drinking Song” during Suit & Tie, the Chorallaries concert on Friday, Nov. 22. MIT’s first coed a cappella group, the Chorallaries’ repertoire is arranged by its group members and features a wide range of popular American music.




Students of the Martin Luther King Jr. Design Seminar, a program offered over IAP, display their art installations in Lobby 10. These projects address the principles of Dr. King and the students’ ideas on topics such as human rights, justice, racism, and equality.




Shivani A. Kaushal ‘15 stretches out a pack of runners in the women’s 3000 meter race during the Gordon Kelly Invitational hosted at MIT this past Saturday. Both the No. 3 women’s and the No. 9 men’s indoor track and field teams will be next participating in the Tufts Invitational this Saturday.
