More than two hours after the game ended, fans still lingered around Fenway Park.

Gamelan Galak Tika performed on Saturday night in Kresge auditorium. Pictured, Shoko Yamamuro performed a traditional warrior dance. Gamelan is a type of complex percussion music based on pentatonic scales, used in Hindu rituals in Bali.

Students in 2.00, Introduction to Design, tested their final projects in the Stata center on Monday, Nov. 18. They were challenged to build a device to destroy an “asteroid” represented as a balloon. The “asteroid” was hooked onto a string, and had to be captured and popped.

The men’s Foot of the Charles regatta was held on Saturday morning. It included heavyweight and lightweight races for crews of two, four, and crews of eight or more. The women’s Foot of the Charles was held last Saturday.

Kara N. Presbrey ’16 models a dress made from leaves, paper, and wire at the MIT Trashion Show last Friday night.

John R. Ross SB ‘67, PhD ‘74 speaks with members of the MIT class of 2017 at a Class Connections event on Sunday. Held by the MIT Alumni Association, the event invited those from both classes to share their experiences at the Institute with each other.

One Night Stand for Student Rights was held in the Student Center this past Friday night to raise awareness of sexual assault, domestic violence, and other related issues at MIT, with the goal of making MIT a safer place. A poetry slam was held, and attendees painted a collective mural.

Both musicians and audience members were shaking and swaying at the Battle of the Bands event on Saturday night in the Student Center.

A “Prayer Canvas” was laid out in Boston Common, decorated with messages of hope, solidarity, and love for Boston during the marathon. Markers were provided so that anyone could add to the canvas.

A couple participates in the MIT Open Ballroom Dance Competition, which was held on Saturday and Sunday at the Rockwell Cage. Dancers at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels competed in Standard, Latin, Smooth, and Rhythm styles.
