On Friday night, students participated in the Dandelion Project, a collective artwork on Kresge lawn. Each participant wrote a wish on a card and hung it up inside a large round tent. At the center of the tent was a “dandelion” made of fiberoptic sticks. Each participant added a new stick to the dandelion. The project was hosted by the MIT 2015 Class Council, MIT STEAM, and Pneuhaus.




Stuart Schmill, Dean of Admissions, takes a pie in the face for charity on Friday. Alpha Epsilon Pi organized the event to raise money for Innovation Africa. Over $100 was raised to pie Dean Schmill. Twenty-four people were pied during the hours-long event, which was held outside the Student Center.




The Alpha Tau Omega fraternity was recently expelled from the Interfraternity Council and is appealing the decision. ATO’s house, shown here awaiting repairs on Monday, currently houses fraternity members.



The H1N1 Swine Flu virus has been spreading on campus. MIT Medical has been leading a campaign that attempts to reduce transmission.
