Local government and MIT administration officials, among many other faculty, students, and staff, gathered in 10-250 Wednesday afternoon to welcome President-elect L. Rafael Reif. Susan Yanow, of the Area 4 Neighborhood Coaliton, protests the further development of Central Square on Monday in front of City Hall. Other protesters held signs with “Don’t Kendalize Central” and “No Permit 4 Forest City” written. Yanow is the author of a “downzoning”petition to institute a development moratorium in the area.






MIT’s little dome is no longer a part of the Cambridge skyline when viewed across the Harvard Bridge from Boston. The Pfizer building, under construction at 610 Main Street, rises up behind it, almost eclipsing it. MIT has is leasing the building to Pfizer for several decades.



MIT hasn’t published a printed annual report since 2005. The Institute Archives and Special Collections in 14N-118 have printed copies of prior annual reports.
