Actress Renée Zellweger received Hasty Pudding Theatricals’ 2009 Woman of the Year Award at Harvard University on Thursday. She was accompanied in the parade by members of the Hasty Pudding Theatricals who were dressed in drag.

MIThenge is a phenomenon that occurs twice a year when the setting sun aligns with the axis of the Infinite Corridor. Salman A. Khan ’98, founder of Khan Academy, gives a lecture entitled “Rethinking Learning” to an overflowing lecture hall in 32-123 on Thursday. Khan, a former hedge fund analyst, has created 2,800 short video lectures that have drawn more than 90 million views on Khan Academy’s YouTube channel.

This photo is of the colorful MIT sail boats in front of Boston’s Back Bay. It is an HDR (high dynamic range) photo, meaning that it is a composite image of three different exposures that have been superimposed on one another. HDR was used to bring out the details in the shadows during the sunset. A small aperture was used to have both foreground and background in focus.



Two-time World Ten-Dance champions Iveta Lukosiute and Gherman Mustuc perform a professional showcase on Saturday, March 17 in Rockwell Cage. The showcase was part of the MIT Open Ballroom Dance Competition held this weekend, on March 17 and 18.



Last Friday, a large fake bomb was hung from Lobby 7 to advertise the Dance Til You Drop party held by the Burton Third Bombers (BTB).

The Boston July 4th Fireworks went according to schedule despite thunderstorm alerts and a temporary downpour during the show.
