MIT is not permitting events between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m. during this year’s Campus Preview Weekend.

This year, 27 percent of the freshmen class has been offered early sophomore standing, comparable to last year’s 28.4 percent. Out of the 282 eligible students, 128 have accepted their offers so far.

Samuel Tak Lee ’62 has made a $118 million donation to MIT, one of the largest in the Institute’s history, to promote real estate entrepreneurship.

On Sept. 2, Judi Segall was welcomed in as MIT’s newest ombudsperson. In her new role, she will serve as a confidential resource to the MIT community by helping visitors attempt to constructively and peacefully resolve conflicts.
