Weather: Back to Normal
By Efren GutierrezSTAFF METEOROLOGIST -- After a warm, beautiful weekend, a weak cold front entered the area late Monday night, bringing temperatures back to normal. The warm weather over the weekend was due to a high ridge pressure over the area which has now moved out into the Atlantic Ocean. High pressure usually brings warm weather to an area, because it limits the amount of cloud formation in the region. It does this within high pressure systems, air sinks. Clouds usually require rising air to begin forming.
The sunshine will continue until the end of the weekend, when a storm system currently situated in the Rocky Mountains will enter the area, bringing with it rain.
