At full count, Maryann Smela '96 (OF) pulls out a low pitch to send a runner home. After sending the ball to the left infield she makes it safely to first base. Despite the effot, MIT lost the game against Clark University on Friday. On Saturday, MIT travelled to WPI to play its last conference games. In the first game, pitched by Naomi Stone '96, MIT won 5-4, but they dropped the second, 10-0. This Thursday, the softball team will compete in the New England Eight Tournament.
