Fine Fall Weekend
By Michael MorganStaff Meteorologist
From the Blue Hills of southeastern Massachusetts to the White Mountains of Northern New England, a mostly sunny, cool, dry fall weekend is anticipated as a ridge of high pressure slowly moves eastward over the Canadian maritimes. The only possible chance for inclement weather would be from a developing cyclone, south of the ridge and east of the southeast coast. Between the high to the north and cyclone to the south, increasing east and northeast winds will develop this weekend, possibly causing beach erosion along the Mid Atlantic and southeast US coasts. This cyclone may drift northward on Sunday, bringing with it clouds, rain, and a bit of wind to extreme southern New England.
Today: Brilliant sunshine. Cool east winds. High 63°F (17°C). Winds east 10-15 mph (16-24 mph).
Tonight: Clear and cool. Low 48°F (9°C).
Saturday: Sunny and cool. High 63°F (17°C). Low 48°F (9°C).
Sunday: Partly cloudy and a bit milder. High 68°F (20°C). Low around 50°F (10°C).
