Dina Katabi, a professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, was recently awarded a MacArthur Fellows Program fellowship. The program “awards unrestricted fellowships to talented individuals who have shown extraordinary originality and dedication in their creative pursuits and a marked capacity for self-direction.” Katabi’s work at MIT involves improving electrical communications, especially wireless data transmission.
