Eric M. Edlund G sprints to the finish line at the conclusion of the Fitchburg Longsjo Classic road race last Saturday, June 30. Edlund placed 24th in the men's category 3 road race, and finished the Classic, a multi-stage race, in 17th place out of the 99 finishing riders in the general time classification.

Zuzana Trnovcova '09 competes in the women's categories 3/4 road race of the Fitchburg Longsjo Classic this past Saturday, June 30. Trnovcova finished the road race in 44th position and continued on to complete the Classic in 46th place out of 49 finishing riders. The Classic is an annual cycling stage race which took place from June 28 – July 1 this year.

Pyro Spectaculars, the company that produced the fireworks display for Boston's celebration, used new "HD Fireworks" in this year's show. The new fireworks are designed to detonate at lower altitudes with richer colors that work well with the High Definition broadcast.
