An article on Friday about the safety of MIT’s nuclear reactor incorrectly stated the reason MIT exceeded the amount of uranium it could store at the reactor. The infraction occurred because of an error in the program the reactor staff use to balance shipments and deliveries of fuel, not because MIT had difficulty shipping fuel to an outside storage site.

An article on Oct. 7 about MIT’s solar car team omitted the name of one team member. He is Alexander K. Hayman ’08.

A page 15 caption on Friday for photos of a Next House benefit dinner incorrectly gave the location to which donations were sent. While proceeds were originally intended to go to the Boston Food Bank, they are in fact are being donated to the International Red Cross.
