An Nov. 2 news story [“Criminal Charge Filed Against MIT Police Officer is Dismissed”] incorrectly identified Patrol Officer Joseph D’Amelio as the officer who arrested Aimee L. Smith PhD ’02 at Commencement. Orlando Tirella was the arresting officer, although D’Amelio was at the scene.

An Oct. 15 sports column [“Drugs and the Fall of ’96 MVP Caminiti”] should have said that the Padres went to the World Series in 1998, not 1996.

An Oct. 22 sports column [“Sox Make History Once, But Can They Win It All?”] should have said that Curt Schilling had a dislocated tendon in his ankle, not that it was broken.
