Note from the Editor

An opinion article published on Friday, Oct. 15 [“The Party’s Over”] inappropriately used ideas from an article published by the Washington Monthly [“Party Down,” by Benjamin Wallace-Wells, October 2004]. Although the author of the Tech article did not plagiarize the exact words of Wallace-Wells’ article, he did plagiarize Wallace-Wells’ ideas by not properly crediting the source of his argument. The author seems to have made the error unknowingly, not realizing it was plagiarism, and did not intend to misrepresent the article’s origin.
