Over the weekend, work crews cut down a grove of pine trees near the old location of the food trucks, demolishing a favorite student lunch area. The trees were cleared to make room for the Stata Center’s large outdoor courtyard, leaving some asking why MIT felt the need to demolish the current treescape to make room for another one.
