Regatta Hope!
By Marek ZebrowskiSTAFF METEOROLOGIST
After a long stretch of briilliant weather these next few days will test our mood and patience as an unsettled weather takes up residence directly overhead. A weak surface low over eastern Long Island is going to move very slowly northeastward throughout Friday and, according to the latest indications, will stall over Cape Cod on Saturday. As this system creeps toward the Gulf of Maine on Sunday some hope for improvement in local weather conditions is on offer, just in time to cheer the Head of the Charles participants!
Today: Cloudy with periods of rain. Light southeasterly winds wind veer to northeast by midday. High 62°F (17°C).
Tonight: Cloudy and damp with scattered showers, drizzle and fog, especially near the coast. Low 51°F (10°C).
Saturday: Mostly cloudy with a continued chance of rain and drizzle. Some breaks may develop late in the day well away from the coast. High 59°F (15°C).
Sunday: Becoming partly cloudy with a threat of showers late in the day. Continued mild with highs in low to mid 60s (16-18°C) and lows around 45-50°F (7-10°C).
