LSC Poster Used Toy Guns
In her recent letter to The Tech regarding the Lecture Series Committee's recruitment poster ["Lecture Series Poster Is Off Target," Sept. 17], Deborah A. Fonda implies that three of the four women in the poster are carrying real guns. Although we feel that most people recognize the fact that they were not, we want to make sure that everyone realizes that they were just cheap plastic toys. These women dressed up to look like the title character of La Femme Nikita in previous MIT showings of the film. We realize that this was not really the point of Fonda's letter, but since carrying a firearm on a college campus is a felony in Massachusetts, we felt that we should respond.Scott D. Centurino
