The following incidents occurred on or near the MIT campus during the period Jan. 29-Feb. 3:

Jan. 29: Bldg. 1: attempted breaking and entering; Bldg. E52: investigation of missing person, who was located; Random Hall: assault and battery, student versus student.

Jan. 30: Theta Chi: a disturbance at fraternity house between two students resulted in an assault and battery; Bldg. W20: breaking and entering into amusement machine, $20; Bldg. 66: found property, computer monitor; Bldg. E53: wallet stolen, $5.

Jan. 31: Bldg. NW10: report of obscene/harassing phone calls; Bldg. 2: safety hazard, unknown chemical bottles left unattended in corridor; safety office notified.

Feb. 1: Bldg. 11: book bag stolen, $200; Bldg. W31: clothing/sneakers stolen, $160; Bldg. E19: report of harassment; Bldg. 1: bicycle stolen from bike rack, $500; Faculty Club: cash, credit cards, and gloves stolen, $35; Delta Psi: computer stolen, $2300; Bldg. 20: breaking into a vending machine, contents taken valued at $239.

Feb. 2: Bldg. 48: malicious destruction to motor vehicle in parking lot, $150; Bldg. 20B: electric saw stolen, $100; Faculty Club: coat stolen, $200; Bldg. W20: jacket and eyeglasses stolen, $300; Tang Hall: fire, careless smoking ignited papers in trash catching rug and desk on fire, extinguished by occupant.
