MIT Navy ROTC head clarifies his statement

Your article on NROTC re-alignment ["MIT, BU plan to merge NROTC," Feb. 8] told the story well with one exception. Even though I stated that defense reductions are a paradox in the face of the largest military buildup since World War II, I did not question the wisdom of the military and political leaders who make the policy.
