MIT senior defensive end Rodrigo R. Rubiano, of Brownsville, TX, was named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) New England Division III Weekly Honor Roll for his play in the Engineers' 6-33 loss to Bentley College. Rubiano was in on 18 tackles, including six unassisted stops. He had a sack, one other tackle for a loss and recovered a fumble.

The MIT women's sailing team won the Man Labs Trophy for the first time since 1976 this past Saturday. Skipper Paula Lewin '93, from Bermuda, with Regina A. Middaugh '93, from Sullivan's Island, SC, acting as crew captured first place in the regatta, while the team of Monique H. Lawrence '92 from New York, NY, and Sarah Moody '94 of Orem, UT, placed third in the "B" Division.

In Sunday's invitational regatta, Pamela M. Paufler '93 from Charlotte, NC, won the Laser Class while Lewin and Middaugh won the 470 Class. Lewin finished fourth in Pan Am Games competition in the women's single-handed class sailed in Laser Radials. The MIT men's cross country team won the Engineers Cup over RPI and WPI this past weekend. MIT had seven of the top 10 runners in the competition.

The MIT women's soccer team has run its record to 3-0. The Engineers have outscored opponents 14-1 over that stretch.
