Choral notes

The MIT Choral Society, conducted by John Oliver, performed Beethoven's Missa Solemnis, November 22, Sacred Heart Church.

The MIT Choral Society with soloists Margaret Cusack, Valerie Walters, Marcus Haddock, and Keith Kibler, gave a splendid performance under the direction of John Oliver. The 180 strong chorus -- although slightly hesitant on a couple of occasions -- sang well, with excellent control of dynamics, and gave the sense of power and grandeur the piece deserves.
