Robert Lockett G, a candidate for a master's degree at the Sloan School of Management, died on Oct. 7 after a long illness. He was 30 years old.

Lockett took his undergraduate education at Rice University, where he received his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering in 1977.

He continued to study mechanical engineering, gaining a master's degree at Rice in 1980. He was a doctoral candidate and research assistant at MIT in the Department of Mechanical Engineering during the years 1980-81.

Lockett also worked on the MIT campus as an Industrial Liaison Officer from 1981-83.

Lockett's home was in Dallas, TX.
