Ambika M. Krishnamachar ’15 recorded a season-high two goals, while Olivia M. Struckman ’18 registered a career- and season-best two assists as the No. 20 MIT women’s soccer team defeated Emerson College, 3-0, on Tuesday afternoon at Roberts Field at Steinbrenner Stadium in New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) play. With the win, MIT established a new longest winning streak of nine games, erasing the original mark of eight set by the 1992 squad. They also set a new mark for most consecutive shutouts with five games, breaking the original record of four straight contests set by four different teams.

For the second straight contest, Sean D. Bingham ’16 and Joshua M. Wilson ’18 each found the back of the net as the MIT men’s soccer team defeated Framingham State 2-1, in non-conference action on Tuesday evening at Maple Street Field. With the win, Tech improves to 6-4-4 overall, while the Rams fall to 4-9-2.

For the second year in a row, MIT and Roger Williams University concluded their match in 1-1 tie on Tuesday afternoon at Roberts Field at Steinbrenner Stadium. Morgan K. Moroi ’16 netted her initial goal of the season at 3:29 following a pass from Ashley J. Peter ’15 before Roger Williams countered with a strike by Haley Carignan roughly six minutes later.

MIT’s women soccer team, ranked 25th in the nation and third in the region in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) poll, scored three second half goals en route to 4-0 non-conference win against Worcester State University on Tuesday evening. Co-captain Ambika M. Krishnamachar ‘15 registered one goal and two assists, while Olivia M. Struckman ‘18 and Julia M. Goupil ‘18 combined for three strikes.
