Scott said that the Smith/Kane campaign has accumulated 11 points for various infractions of Election Commission policy. A candidate can be removed after accumulating seven points. Smith and Kane can still receive votes as write-in candidates.
Scott also said that a bug was discovered yesterday in the UA balloting software, invalidating some voter records. As a result, all ballots cast prior to early Wednesday morning have been invalidated. Elections have restarted this morning.
The two incidents were not related.
If you voted online prior to Wednesday morning, your ballot has been thrown out, and you must revote.
Online elections will now run from today until Monday, April 11 at midnight. Paper balloting will now take place on Tuesday, April 12.
