Scott Krueger is still in the Intensive Care Unit at Beth Israel Hospital. A family member said that he is in critical condition.

Sales Phone: 867-0927 or 253-1682 Email:CAMBRIDGE, Mass.-An MIT freshman was found unconscious in his fraternity house room and taken to Beth Israel Hospital early Saturday by the Boston Emergency Medical Service. The student, Scott Krueger, 18, of Orchard Park, N.Y., was in the hospital's coronary care unit Saturday night. MIT Campus Police received a call from the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity house, 28 the Fenway, Boston, at 11:56pm Friday and were told that Krueger was unconscious. MIT Police called 911 and Boston Police, Fire Department and EMS officers responded. Krueger's parents were notified. "We're obviously very concerned," said Margaret R. Bates, MIT"s Dean for Student Life. "Our thoughts are with the family." The fraternity has been suspended pending the results of an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident, including whether alcohol was involved. end

InterFraternity Council (IFC) wish to express our deepest concern
regarding the incident this weekend at Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity.
Our thoughts are with Scott Krueger and his family.
The Presidents Council met tonight, Sunday, September 28, 1997,
and unanimously passed the following resolution:
All Fraternities, Sororities, and Independent Living Groups
(FSILGs) resolve to voluntarily cancel all events in which
alcohol is involved until all FSILG and IFC risk management
policies have been reviewed, according to guidelines
established by the IFC Risk Management Chair, the IFC
Presidential Advisory Board, and the Alumni IFC.
The IFC is comprised of the thirty-nine FSILGs at MIT. Presidents
Council, its legislative body, is comprised of the presidents of the
member FSILGs.
